..kryptonite..

last night i went to church& i learned something new (well the preacher spoke on something that i actually already knew but the way he preached about it really had me thinking)...the topic of his sermon was:  

"what is keeping you from God?"

   i thought about the question as if it were God asking me personally.   its sooo easy to get sucked in to whats going on around you, when all you see is people going after the money, cars, nice clothes, sex, drugs & parties etc. you tend to get caught up in the lime light& that light can get so bright that you lose sight of what your purpose is. whether you want to believe it or not God created us to serve him and this is one of those topics argued by philosophers across the world.  take a few seconds to think about what you are here on earth for, who created you and what your purpose is...i asked you to think about it because if you don't know your purpose then you wont know whats keeping you from God.

 however if you know that your purpose is to serve God then you can go on to asking yourself "what is keeping me away from God?" (everybody has something!) 

what is that thing or person in your life that is like kryptonite? 

(keep in mind that kryptonite was Superman's only weakness) what is your weakness? what is keeping you from getting closer to God? what is keeping you from getting into heaven? its a serious and scary question but if you trust in God and ask God to help you overcome your weaknesses thats your first step on the road to glory...
